Trail Report – January 28th, 2026

by | Jan 28, 2026 | Club News, Trail Reports, Warming Hut, What We're Talking About

Trail conditions are currently great following 6–10 inches of new snow. Temperatures are warming up and the days are getting longer, making for very pleasant conditions on the trails.

From time to time it’s important to reflect back on the Club and be grateful and appreciate all the work and volunteerism that has been done. The month of February is a very special month as we will celebrate the 60th birthday of the founding of the Club. One of the club’s Charter Members, Catherine Covill, recently celebrated her 96th birthday and how special would she feel if she got a birthday card from all of today’s members? It would certainly brighten her day so let’s do it!!

Send a birthday card to –

Catherine Covill, 9 Danforth Road, Pittsburg, NH 03592.

This weekend the warming hut is open for lunch on Saturday from 10-3.
Saturday evening is the 5th Annual SSgt. Jesse Sherrill Fallen Troopers Memorial Run. Dinner will be served here at the Clubhouse at 6PM following the 4PM evening ride. This event is to honor and remember Sargent Jesse E. Sherrill who was tragically killed in the line of duty five years ago. Everyone welcome; this is an event you will not want to miss.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Be Safe, Be Responsible and Have Fun…
Best regards,
Terry Swain
