Trail Report – Wednesday, January 31st, 2024

by | Jan 31, 2024 | Club News, Trail Reports, What We're Talking About

Our trails are looking great.

Grooming has been a challenge over the past few days, with Temps above freezing, but we’ve played the catch up game, and trails are flat again.

Pittsburg hasn’t received much snow this week. The hub area and trails to the village South are still in marginal condition.

Trails to the North, East, and West have shaped up nice and are in great condition.

The snow in high traffic areas is on the worn out side and has the consistency like sugar. It doesn’t stick to the trail like fresh snow, and corners may be icy.

Trail 139 along First Lake and Trail 142 along Lake Francis are still open, passible and UNGROOMED until more snow flys.

I’d recommend you choose an alternative route north if you can. Groomers are going to continue throughout the week. We will see you out there.”
