PRR Newsletter – December 15th, 2023

by | Dec 15, 2023 | Club News, Trail Reports, What We're Talking About

Hello Snowmobilers,

The newest groomer has arrived, and several of the groomers have been out getting the trails ready clearing trees and assessing the problem areas. Now we just need the weather to cooperate, but for now the trails are not open.
We have some bad weather forecasted for this Sunday night and Monday. Let’s hope it doesn’t do much damage.
Hopefully our trails will survive and we will have good news for you sometime next week.

The Ridge Runners had a busy fall. In October we had the Bake Sale which was a great success, we had two trail work days, and attended the Grass Drags.
Thanks to all the volunteers that helped out at all these events.
The Christmas Craft Fair was also a huge success, and Corinne Howland did a phenomenal job raising another record amount of money for Easter Seal’s Camp Sno-Mo.
Thank you Corinne for all your hard work, and many thanks to everyone that volunteered, donated and supported the Bake Sale, the online Auction and the Craft Fair.

CLUB MONTHLY MEETING

The December meeting was well attended. It’s great to see more members at the meetings. Club President, Curt Shaw informed us that the new Trail Maps are in. As usual there are trail closures this season due to logging and also due to damage on the trails from this summer’s heavy rains. The club has already repaired some of the washouts and will continue to tackle as much as they can. We will be applying for Summer Grant funding for numerous trail repair projects for next year. The Perry Stream trails and Deer Mountain will be closed, but there is a new trail that is open on the east side. Trail maps are on Sale on the Club Store and at local stores and lodges.
Map sales are a very important fund raiser for a club. Please buy your trail map today.

OHRV Safety Course is being put on at the clubhouse on Saturday 12/30 from 8-3. Please contact Jamie Bechok 603-381-0331 to sign up! This isn’t just for kids…… there’s a lot of adults out there that could use this course too. Check out the link for more details.

Check out the Club Store for cool holiday gifts. Also, the RIDE hoodies & T-shirt created by Up North Trading Company to raise funds for trail repair after this summer’s devastating rains.
