Snowmobile Trail Report & Club News – Thursday, February 22nd

by | Feb 22, 2018 | Club News, Trail Reports, Warming Hut, What We're Talking About

Hello Snowmobilers,

TRAIL REPORT

“This morning I took the club sled and took a look around and found very favorable conditions.
Locally there is a lot of ice, frozen like concrete snow but very little bare ground. Once you get just a few miles away from the business area trails are actually very well covered, and really flat considering what we had for weather.
I would recommend trailering north to the Magalloway area if you don’t want to ride the ice to get fuel. Groomers will be leaving shortly to work their magic on the majority of the trail system and this will churn everything up to make for some excellent riding conditions in most areas north and east of Back Lake.

We will not be Grooming towards the gas pumps etc today it’s hard and icy and really could cause damage to our equipment until it softens up or we receive a considerable amount of snow.
Use caution watch for a few open water bars and ice in the corners.
No Grooming south of Back Lake until we get more snow. West of Back Lake will hopefully get some attention tomorrow or tomorrow night.”

Respectfully submitted,
Kevin Lassonde Grooming Coordinator
