November Newsletter 2016

by | Nov 17, 2016 | Club News, Trail Reports, What We're Talking About

Hello Snowmobilers,

We are approaching that time when the Snow Dance needs to start. This week has been on the mild side but our forecast is looking cold and snowy for the next two weeks.
Think Snow!

November Monthly Meeting Highlights

The trails signing is moving along nicely, the groomers are being serviced and the last of the drag repairs are underway. Richard Howland, our equipment mechanic donated gravel and fixed the potholes on Dickson Lane.

Helga is excited about the Christmas Craft Fair. There will be lots of beautiful crafts that will make great holiday gifts. We hope to have a great turn out, and don’t forget all proceeds go to the Easter Seals Camp SnoMo. Last year’s Craft Fair generated $2,700. Let’s see if we can do even better this year.

One of our business members Laurie Dellascio has created a fund raiser for our trails. Check it out! Thank you Laurie.

Trails Update

Trail 20 from Tabor Notch to Canaan, Vt will be reopened. The landowners have agreed to open the trail contingent on the club not accepting monies from Northern Pass.

The State Trails bureau has walked a new route with the landowner to go from Stub Hill. They are awaiting approval from DES, and if received, we will attempt to build the trail this fall.

We are still waiting for info on the trails that were damaged by the tornado. We do not expect to have trail 140 from Carr Ridge to McKeag’s.
